FAQ

  • What services do you provide?

We offer CAD modeling, prototyping, analysis, engineering drawings, and fixture/tool design services at a professional level. All of our services are available on-demand. By working with manufacturers, we know how to optimize designs for the best manufacturing results.

  • What is CAD?

The use of computers to help in the development, modification, analysis, or optimization of a design is known as computer-aided design. This software is used to increase the designer’s efficiency, improve design quality, improve communication through documentation, and generate a database for manufacturing.

  • What is CAD On-Demand?

We help our customers mitigate risk, by providing the right engineering talent during times of peak demand. We do this by carefully listening to what our customers ask for, and using our years of experience in design and manufacturing, we craft engineering solutions that are customized to their needs. We consider our customers to be long-term partners, and we do everything we can to behave that way.

  • What CAD platform do you use?

We have experience with a variety of platforms, but SolidWorks is our specialty. We have SolidWorks' most recent annual release. If you have data in an earlier version, we are backward compatible.

  • What are the benefits of on-demand?

When you have flexible, on-demand professionals, you schedule them exactly when and where you need them. Rather than hiring full-time staff, you draw from a pool of on-demand workers who have the expertise required for that specific shift or project.

  • How do you deliver your services?

Depending on the type of help you need, we are able to blend various options, including:

Utilize InterLink’s Engineering Staff. This is the best option if you need a combination of skill sets or your project can be done remotely from our office.

Bring on a temporary CAD designer to work at your facility. This is helpful if you want to oversee moment-to-moment progress or when you want to provide more detailed direction.

Recruit a direct-hire CAD designer or engineer for your company. Designers have a range of experience levels and skillsets to choose from. We know most of them and are constantly interviewing and testing new graduates.

  • Do you offer any services that are included in a package?

When you need a designer, you also need the workstation and software licenses. We can deliver this as a package so that you do not have any wasted time or money before or after your project.

For product development, we provide a managed suite of services. We coordinate our supply base of engineering talent to deliver a complete solution to your project.

  • How can my business hire you?

Clients typically keep us on a retainer to be available whenever needed. Your finance department will contact us to initiate setting up InterLink as a supplier. We will respond rapidly to all requests, but this step can take anywhere from a few days to a few months. This is one more reason to contact us to set up a brief discussion to see if we can help you. Now. Not later, when it becomes urgent.

  • Are you reputable?

We’ve been in business since 2004, with many of our clients returning again and again with new projects. Our leadership team has over 75 years of combined experience in various manufacturing sectors. We have the expertise and experience to get the job done and keep our clients happy.

  • Are you credible?

Our in-house design staff is certified by SolidWorks Corporation and new hires are put to the test to verify skill level. If you hire a designer through us, you can rest assured that they have the hard skills you need.
